IRON MAIDEN: «THE FINAL FRONTIER TOUR»

Fans will see an unforgettable show in the best traditions of the classics of world rock scene.

In August 2010, the company EMI has released Iron Maiden’ s 15th studio album - «The Final Frontier», which has immediately headed tops of music charts and became a bestseller in 28 countries: Saudi Arabia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

The duration of the album is 76 minutes and 35 seconds, which is the longest album in the history of the group. Previous record belonged to the previous album, «A Matter of Life and Death», whose duration was 72 minutes and 6 seconds. Given the fact that since the first album was 30 years, Iron Maiden released the album on average every 2 years. In the entire history of the band it has sold over 80 million albums. Iron Maiden had a powerful influence on the development of metal and modern music and it’s a real phenomenon in the world of heavy rock.

«THE FINAL FRONTIER WORLD TOUR» was launched in June in North America and soon surpassed all expectations of box office, despite the tendency of the dollar's decline in the U.S. market. Tickets for the concert sold out within hours. The tour continued in Europe where the band performed as the headliner at the world-renowned festivals. Set list of the concerts was a surprise for fans. Instead of the usual “the-best-of”  band performed mostly songs recorded over the past 10 years. The European leg of the tour ended on August 21 in Spain, but in 2011 «THE FINAL FRONTIER WORLD TOUR» will continue.

At the show in Moscow all the musicians, staff and equipment will arrive on a specially converted Boeing 757, which will be piloted by the Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson. In 2008 Iron Maiden leased from a British charter airline Astraeus aircraft and decorate it with a huge band logo. In 2010, Bruce Dickinson was appointed director of marketing for Astraeus, which did not prevent his musical activities. 52-year-old singer have a long association with aviation and is an active pilot. In 2006, Dickinson during the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah brought from Lebanon by plane about 200 Britons.

The latter at the moment of DVD - "Flight 666" - includes a live recording shows from the tour in 2008 and a documentary about the tour group and flights on a modified Boeing 757 "Ed Force One", was released last year and has hit number 1 in 25 countries: Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden , Switzerland, UK and USA.
